6.3-magnitude quake hits Papua New Guinea -- HK Observatory
An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale hit New Ireland Region, Papua New Guinea at 1227 GMT on Monday (2027 Hong Kong time), the Hong Kong Observatory said.

The epicenter was initially determined to be near 5.7 degrees south latitude and 153.9 degrees east longitude, about 850 kilometers east-northeast of Port Moresby.
