6.1-magnitude quake hits Revilla Gigedo Islands, Mexico

 An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted the Revilla Gigedo Islands region in Mexico at 8:32 p.m. Tuesday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was monitored at about 19.9 degrees north latitude and 109.2 degrees west longitude, the center said in a statement.
