5.6M quake hits near north coast of New Guinea, Papua New Guinea -- USGS
An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted near the north coast of New Guinea, Papua New Guinea at 16:31:41 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 28.60 km, was initially determined to be at 2.9626 degrees south latitude and 142.1078 degrees east longitude.
